That’s a great question, because in most cases hygiene standards, or guarantees are non-existent. At COCODUNE, we care a great deal about what happens when a product is returned and because we are one of the only companies that not only designs and makes your products, but also handles and ships them to you ourselves, we can introduce unprecedented and new methods and standards when it comes to return handling. The first thing we do is check returned product for structural or permanent damage; if it doesn’t meet our high standards, we recycle it. If the product is sound, then we take it through a restorative process including a gentle wash and vigorous spot steam-clean to completely sterilize it. From there it’s subjected to another general check to ensure that the color fidelity and fabric hasn’t been compromised. Before we ship it out again, we apply a new hygienic liner to the suit and submit it to a final spot check, thereby achieving the highest standard in swimwear and a guaranteed fresh experience.

What’s more – and thanks to the remarkable nature of our fabrics – if returned suits do not pass our final, rigorous spot inspection process, we simply recycle them. This means that we never contribute to the 15M tons of annual fabric waste and help protect our planet.
